AGE GUIDELINES FOR ENTRY

ADMISSION

STUDENTS FROM GRADE 7 AND ONWARDS (SECONDARY EDUCATION)
Use English as a learning medium during the six-year course;
The first two years (i.e., grades 7 and 8) require neither military subjects nor military training but cultivating discipline and responsibility;
Students from grades 9, 10, 11, 12, and preparatory courses will be receiving military education and training, studying in military subjects, and wearing military uniforms.
Throughout the six-year course, English will be used in all subjects, while the Chinese
and Spanish are elective language classes.
Special tutoring for English and other courses are available.

GAINESVILLE ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS

o PROSPECTIVE GIS STUDENTS MUST BE:
Physically Fit;
Mentally Fit;
Emotionally Fit;

o HAVE NONE OF THE FOLLOWING:
Felony conviction;
Violent conviction;
Sexual charge OR conviction;

o WILLING TO USE ENGLISH EXTENSIVELY IN DAILY LIFE AT GIS
o WE ACCEPT ONLY QUALIFIED STUDENTS OF THE ABOVE INTO GIS
No TOEFL Test Required; however, students are required to take an English placement exam upon arrival.
